1. Drivers are prohibited from driving across or parking in a gore area, which is the:

A gore area is the striped division between the main roadway and a ramp. Driving on or parking in it is prohibited.
2. Traffic already traveling on a freeway has the right-of-way, so a driver entering from an on-ramp must:

Drivers entering a freeway are responsible for merging safely. Match your pace to the freeway's right-lane traffic, then signal and merge when a gap opens.
3. A driver may make a U-turn when:

U-turns are permitted when they can be completed safely, do not interfere with traffic, and are not banned by a sign; yield to approaching traffic first.
